Robert  Tengeler

Profile

Mr. Tengeler, formerly Assistant Medicaid Inspector General for the New York State Department of Health as well as years of service in senior positions with the New York State Department of Social Services, brings to the firm a wealth of experience with New York State health care programs, including audits, fraud investigations, policy guidance, defense of state and federal litigation, and drafting of state legislation, regulations and budget initiatives. Mr. Tengeler also served on The National Medicaid Fraud Central Advisory Group, assisted federal agencies in the implementation of fraud control initiatives and developed fraud control procedures for the new State Medicaid Management Payment System, E-MEDNY. He was the liaison with the State Attorney General’s office in areas of potential Medicaid criminal activity and coordinated numerous joint projects with that agency.
